The Cerdanya Cross-Border Hospital is in Puigcerdà county in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees. It was built with the aim of standardizing high-quality health services between Spain and France. It is the first shared healthcare facility in the European Union, providing care to patients in both countries. Its 19,106 m² is equipped with 64 beds, 26 consulting rooms, 10 day hospital places, 14 hemodialysis machines, 18 emergency examination rooms, 4 operating rooms and 2 delivery rooms.
