The Sant Leopold Pavilion is located within the grounds of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona, which is considered the largest Catalan Art Nouveau ensemble in Europe. It was declared a “Cultural Asset of National Interest” (BCIN) and a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997. This Catalan Art Nouveau ensemble is home to leading institutions in sustainability, health, and education. The project consisted of restoring the appearance designed by Catalan Art Nouveau architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. In particular this included the structural components, building systems, original materials as well as decorative, sculptural, and ornamental items.
