Adaptation of the Barcelona Nord bus station section
The works consisted of the functional reorganization of the Bus Station with the aim of improving clarity, safety, and efficiency. The double-height space between floors was closed off and uses were separated, keeping the ground floor as the main station area with services, retail, and food and beverage, while the mezzanine is dedicated to private uses and the first floor to administrative use.
Interior circulation has also been improved, public restrooms have been renovated, and the distribution of building services by floor has been optimized, enhancing overall performance.
In addition, safety has been strengthened with a new access control system and improved spatial zoning, and the station’s overall image has been updated with efficient and cost-effective construction solutions.
