Can Periquet School
The awarded works consist in the conversion and extension of the current "Can Periquet" School in Sant Joan de Palau-Solità I Plegamans (two nursery school classes) to get a two-group junior high school section.
To this end, some works will be carried out inside the existing school while others will involve the construction of a new building on the site adjacent to the current one.
The most significant construction will be a two-story building connected to the existing building on the west side.
The work to be carried out on the existing building is significant as the project aims to ensure that once completed the entire complex is identified as a single unit.
The new building consists of two blocks separated by a porch. The first block, to be used as the teaching area, is designed as a continuation of the existing school. The other block, housing the gym, is arranged at right angles to the teaching section.
Finally, there will be sports courts and playgrounds in the far corner with the best sun exposure. The plot on which the new building is being constructed has an approximate area of 7.362 m².
