Sustainable Construction of the Bridge over the Virilla River on National Route No. 147
-
Costa Rica
The project involved the construction of a new bridge parallel to the existing one over the Virilla River on National Route No. 147 in Costa Rica, together with the widening of the roadway and the improvement of access connections. The 132.65-metre-long steel-concrete composite structure was built using innovative construction methods, including incremental launching of the bridge deck and the installation of steel piers with an EBF system to enhance seismic performance.
