New civic center
Renovation of the old prison in Palencia. The project involves the manual demolition of most of the current building, leaving all the walls of the two-story wings standing and shored up, and demolishing all single-story buildings. Surface foundation with isolated footings. In the theater area, a basement will be built to house the props and electrical installations for the entire center. The structure is mixed, predominantly steel, with metal pillars, reticular slabs, concrete slabs on the ground floor ceiling and composite slab flooring, reticular slabs and a lightweight roof on the top floor. Most of the roofs are metal, made of zinc and steel sheeting.
Systems:
• Electricity: transformer station, generator and lighting.
• Plumbing and HVAC: distributed vertically by steel risers and horizontally by PPR.
The interior finishes are made with acoustic PVC flooring.
