The total length of the trunk road is 16.3 km. The design speed is 100 kph except in the Romegats tunnel, where the speed is reduced to 80 kph.
The solutions are compatible with maintaining traffic on both the C-25 and the intersecting cross roads.
- Structures and walls: It includes a total of three viaducts, four overpasses, of which two of which make use of the existing structure (adaptation of barriers), two wildlife crossings, and nine underpasses. The structures of the bridge underpasses are designed in the same way as conventional viaducts. The box or frame underpasses are extensions of the existing structures. Numerous anchored walls have been designed to protect the abutments of the existing structures in the subsection with the highest number of junctions.
- Tunnels: Three tunnels have been designed which are a doubling up in all cases, generally parallel to those already existing on the current C-25, bored and cut-and-cover (artificial tunnels). The total length of the planned tunnels is of 564.09 m (203.95 m bored; Romegats + 360.14 m cut-and-cover; Sant Julià I and II). Facilities: SOS boxes, cameras, road lighting, traffic lights, and URSs for control. Copisa has prepared the precast concrete parts storage area, installed the beams that house the bridge crane rails and provided a 200 kVA genset for operating the bridge crane.
- Viaducts: Osormort viaduct (500.10 m long), La Font de la Riera viaduct (120 m long) and El Gurri viaduct (60.29 m long).
