Highway B-40. Olesa de Montserrat-Viladecavalls section
The works have consisted of the upgrading of six tunnels on the road network in Cantabria, with the aim of improving their safety and operational performance. The interventions were carried out on five tunnels along the A-67 motorway and one on the N-611, in the Torrelavega area.
The works included the renewal of technical installations, improvements to the power supply system through a dual-feed connection to increase reliability, and the updating of tunnel control and management systems. Road pavement was also strengthened in sections where it was required, and cross passages in the median were constructed to facilitate maintenance operations and emergency response.
All works were carried out while keeping traffic in operation at all times, with no interruptions, ensuring safety and road usability throughout the entire process.
